The excitement is building for one of the biggest events on the Streaky Bay social calendar in, Streaky Bay Cup Day with a six-race program on Saturday.
The feature race over 1800 metres - the Carlton Draught/Streaky Bay Community Hotel Cup is the final of the of the Bill Holland Memorial Series contested over the Eyre Peninsula summer racing season.
One of Adelaide's leading jockeys Darren Holland will be attending, but on the spectator side of the fence.
Darren will be at Streaky Bay Race Track to support his son Dean, having his first ride in a race.
The racing action starts tomorrow evening with a calcutta in the Flinders Room at the Streaky Bay Hotel.
